Colombia Expels 'Javi,' Brother of Fugitive 'Fito,' for Extradition to the U.S.

Migración Colombia has expelled Ronald Macías, also known as 'Javi' and brother of the fugitive cartel leader 'Fito,' from the country. Macías, identified as a key figure in the Los Choneros criminal organization, was apprehended in Bogotá. He is wanted in the United States on charges including homicide, money laundering, illicit enrichment, and criminal conspiracy, with an Interpol Red Notice issued for his arrest. Colombian Minister of the Interior John Reimberg confirmed that 'Javi' will first be sent to La Picota prison before his extradition to the U.S. Macías reportedly assumed a significant role in the organization's international expansion following his brother's escape.
