Île-de-France Implements Traffic Restrictions Amid Heatwave: Crit'Air Vignette System in Effect
Dès le 19 juin et jusqu’à ce que soit levée cette décision, seuls les véhicules munis d’une vignette Crit’Air de classe 0, 1 et 2 seront autorisés à circuler à l’intérieur de l’A86.
To mitigate the effects of the ongoing heatwave, authorities in Île-de-France have implemented restrictive traffic measures. Starting June 19th, a differentiated circulation system will be enforced. Only vehicles displaying Crit'Air vignettes of class 0, 1, and 2 will be permitted to travel within the A86 ring road. These restrictions will remain in place until further notice. The measure aims to reduce traffic congestion and potentially lower emissions during the period of high temperatures. Drivers are advised to check their vehicle's Crit'Air classification before traveling. This initiative is part of broader efforts to manage urban environments during extreme weather conditions.
This measure highlights the impact of heatwaves on urban infrastructure and public services, requiring adaptive strategies like traffic restrictions to manage environmental challenges.
