Akis Evangelidis, co-founder of Nothing, confirmed that a new CMF phone model, the CMF Phone 3 Pro, will not be released this year. He explained on X that while they were working on a successor to the Phone 2 Pro, current memory/RAM prices make it impossible to produce a compelling upgrade at a reasonable cost. Therefore, the company decided against launching a new CMF phone this year to avoid releasing a product they wouldn't be proud of. However, Evangelidis indicated that CMF has other new products and category entries planned for later in the year, and Nothing's smartphone launch season is also not over, with more announcements to come.
Nothing's decision to delay the CMF Phone 3 Pro due to component costs signals challenges in the competitive smartphone market and the company's commitment to product quality.
