A seven-day medical camp held in Mpanda Municipality, Katavi Region, has provided free health screenings and treatments to hundreds of residents. Organized by the non-governmental organization Empower Society Build the Nation (ESBN), the outreach program offered services including eye care, HIV testing, health counseling, blood donation, and screenings for cervical and breast cancer. ESBN Medical Team Leader Dr. Seif Nassor stated the camp aimed to improve access to specialized healthcare, educate residents on disease prevention, and provide immediate treatment, including surgical procedures. The initiative saw significant participation, especially from elderly residents, and ESBN plans to extend similar services to other regions.
