Youth Electrocuted While Attempting to Steal Transformer in Bagha

A young man, identified as Mamun Pramanik (35), died from electrocution while attempting to steal a transformer in Bagha, Rajshahi. His body was found hanging on an electricity pole Friday morning, where he had reportedly been for the entire night. Fire service personnel recovered the body after being alerted. Witnesses suggest Pramanik was trying to disconnect power before stealing the transformer. He had apparently tied himself to the pole with a cloth. His brother-in-law stated that Pramanik was known for theft, and the family has no claims regarding his death. His wife mentioned he took money from her for work, likely to purchase tools for the theft. The incident is being investigated as an unnatural death.
