Critical BootROM Vulnerability Affects Older iPhones, Unpatchable via Software Updates

Researchers have identified a new hardware-level vulnerability, dubbed 'usbliter8', affecting iPhone models equipped with A12 and A13 processors. This exploit targets the BootROM, a fundamental component of the device's startup process. Crucially, the vulnerability cannot be rectified through standard software updates, leaving affected devices potentially exposed.
