The city of Skopje is initiating the cleanup of a landfill in Sarai, with plans to convert the area into a large park situated along the Vardar River. Mayor Orce Gjorgievski announced the project, emphasizing its goal to create a modern recreational space. The park will feature horticultural landscaping, green areas, and facilities for relaxation and social gatherings for local residents. This initiative aims to reclaim and beautify a currently neglected area. Furthermore, the reconstruction of a decades-old mega-park in Sarai is also slated to begin soon. The mayor stressed the potential of the site, stating it deserves care and development rather than neglect. This project aligns with the city's broader strategy of increasing green spaces and public areas for citizens' enjoyment.
