The Enugu State Government has announced a restriction of movement across the six local government areas comprising the Enugu North Senatorial District for the upcoming Saturday bye-election. The restriction will be in effect from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This measure aims to ensure the peaceful, orderly, and credible conduct of the election. Officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security personnel, accredited election observers, and journalists are exempted from the restriction. The government urged residents and voters to comply with electoral guidelines and maintain peaceful conduct. Security agencies have been directed to enforce compliance. The Enugu North Senatorial District includes Igbo-Etiti, Igbo Eze North, Igbo Eze South, Nsukka, Udenu, and Uzo-Uwani local government areas.
