BNP Leader Critically Injured in Knife Attack Outside His Home in Mohammadpur

Md. Nurul Islam, a senior joint general secretary of the BNP's Ward 33 in Mohammadpur, has been seriously injured after being stabbed outside his residence in Dhaka. The attack occurred on Friday afternoon on Road No. 4 of the Satmosjid Housing area. According to police, six assailants on two motorcycles carried out the assault before fleeing the scene. Nurul Islam sustained severe injuries to his face, shoulder, and hand. He was initially taken to a local hospital and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment, where he is currently in the emergency department. Police suspect political enmity as the motive behind the attack and are collaborating with RAB to apprehend the perpetrators.
