Measles Outbreak Update: Four More Children Die in 24 Hours, Total Deaths Reach 670
হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে দেশে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় (বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল ৮টা থেকে আজ শুক্রবার সকাল ৮টা) আরও চার শিশুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এ সময়ে হাম ও হামের উপসর্গে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে ১ হাজার ১৭৪ জন। এ পর্যন্ত দেশে হাম ও হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে মৃতের সংখ্যা ৬৭০ জনে পৌঁছেছে। তাদের মধ্যে হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে ৫৭৭ শিশু ও নিশ্চিত হামে ৯৩ শিশুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। আজ শুক্রবার স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের সর্বশেষ প্রতিবেদন থেকে এসব তথ্য জানা গেছে। গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে যে চার শিশুর মৃত্যু হয়েছে, তার মধ্যে দুটি শিশু মারা গেছে
Four more children have died from measles or its symptoms in Bangladesh within the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 670. During the same period, 1,174 individuals contracted measles or exhibited symptoms. Of the total deaths, 577 are attributed to measles symptoms and 93 to confirmed measles cases. The latest report from the Directorate General of Health Services indicates that two of the recent child deaths occurred in the Sylhet division, with one each in Dhaka and Chittagong divisions. Over 972 suspected measles cases were hospitalized in the past 24 hours, with Dhaka division having the highest number of admissions. Since the first case was identified on March 15, over 90,982 individuals have shown symptoms, with 75,156 hospitalized and 10,869 confirmed cases.
This update highlights the ongoing severity of the measles outbreak and the critical need for continued public health interventions, vaccination efforts, and medical care.
