Athens to Host 2028 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships
Η Αθήνα επιλέχθηκε να φιλοξενήσει το Ευρωπαϊκό Πρωτάθλημα Ενόργανης Γυμναστικής Ανδρών και Γυναικών του 2028, με την ελληνική πρωτεύουσα να αναλαμβάνει για πρώτη φορά τη συγκεκριμένη διοργάνωση. Το Ευρωπαϊκό Πρωτάθλημα των Ανδρών θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 24 έως τις 28 Μαΐου 2028 , ενώ εκείνο των Γυναικών θα ακολουθήσει λίγες ημέρες αργότερα, από την 1η έως τις 4 Ιουνίου . Η διοργάνωση αποκτά ξεχωριστή σημασία και για τον Λευτέρη Πετρούνια, καθώς θα αποτελέσει την τελευταία
Athens has been selected to host the 2028 European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships, marking the first time the Greek capital will stage this event. The Men's championships will run from May 24-28, 2028, followed by the Women's from June 1-4. This event will be a crucial final major competition for Lefteris Petrounias before the Los Angeles Olympics later that year. Greece has previously hosted European championships in other cities, but this will be the first time in Athens.
This hosting opportunity brings a major international sporting event to Athens, potentially boosting tourism and showcasing the city's capabilities.
