Kasaragod District Receives Special Focus in Revised Budget for Healthcare, Education, and Endosulfan Victim Welfare

The revised State Budget for 2026-27 has placed a special emphasis on Kasaragod district, announcing key initiatives in healthcare, education, infrastructure, and the welfare of Endosulfan victims. Special development packages for backward districts, including Kasaragod, Wayanad, and Idukki, will be accelerated. The budget allocates ₹100 crore to strengthen infrastructure at the Government Medical College, Kasaragod, and other medical colleges in the region. Significant relief measures are also planned for Endosulfan victims, with assurances of all eligible benefits and government responsibility for their care. The long-pending demand for a civil station at Manjeswaram has also been addressed. Social activists have welcomed the support for victims, expressing renewed hope.
