In a push towards digital governance, the State government on Friday (June 19) launched school education services on WhatsApp. The services were formally inaugurated by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, at the event held in LB Stadium here. Developed by the ESD–MeeSeva Division of the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications department, the platform will provide regular updates and educational services to over 18 lakh students and parents across the State. These include progress reports, hall ticket downloads, marks memos, examination results, bonafide certificates, transfer certificates, SSC memos, and correction requests. Future services will cover attendance, scholarships, textbook and uniform distribution, mid-day meals, health programmes, sports activities, and parents’ feedback. Indian Roller or Palapitta, the mascot, will communicate information and updates on the platform through engaging videos.
