Sixteen signatories, including Veștea, claim the congress was called without adhering to statutory deadlines, aiming to remove dissenting members and elected officials. They are also seeking 4 million lei in moral damages from the National Liberal Party and its president, Ilie Bolojan. This action follows a previous lawsuit contesting the party's decision to sanction members who oppose party directives.
