EFET Recalls Frozen Oysters Due to Norovirus Detection
Υγειονομικός συναγερμός έχει σημάνει μετά την απόφαση του ΕΦΕΤ για την ανάκληση παρτίδας κατεψυγμένων στρειδιών, εξαιτίας εντοπισμού νοροϊού στο προϊόν. The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) has ordered the recall of a batch of frozen oysters due to the detection of norovirus. The affected product, 'Surasang' brand frozen oysters from South Korea, is packaged in 226-gram plastic containers with a production date of April 26, 2025, and an expiration date of April 25, 2027. The recall was initiated through the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) after the contamination was identified by a Dutch company. EFET has instructed retailers to remove the product from shelves and advises consumers who have purchased it not to consume it and to return it to the point of sale.
This recall is crucial for public health, preventing potential outbreaks of norovirus illness associated with contaminated food products.
