Saudi Expatriate Dies in Gulistan Hotel; Met Nursing Student via Facebook

A Saudi expatriate, identified as Md. Al Amin (40), has died at Hotel Romana in Dhaka's Gulistan area. He was found unconscious and later declared dead by doctors at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Al Amin had checked into the hotel to meet a nursing student he met on Facebook. According to the student, they had arranged to meet after Al Amin returned from Saudi Arabia. He brought gifts for her and they went to his hotel room. Al Amin reportedly went to the washroom and was later found on the floor. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death. The police are investigating the circumstances.
