Ecuador's Minister of the Interior, John Reimberg, released photos of 'Javi', a suspected leader of the Los Choneros criminal group, inside the El Enc-entro maximum-security prison. 'Javi', identified as the brother of alias 'Fito', arrived in Ecuador on Thursday, June 18th, following an extradition operation coordinated with Colombian authorities. Reimberg stated that 'Javi' belongs in El Enc-entro, emphasizing ongoing efforts against organized crime. The individual is wanted by Interpol for serious offenses including homicide and money laundering. He allegedly played a key role in the criminal organization's international expansion. Ecuador intends to pursue his extradition to the United States.
