AURA Foresight, a team developing autonomous technology for wildfire prevention, has advanced to the finals of the global XPRIZE Wildfire competition. Out of over 130 initial competitors, AURA Foresight is now among the final four teams vying for the US$5 million prize in the Autonomous Wildfire Response track. The competition challenges teams to autonomously detect, verify, and respond to wildfire ignitions within a 1,000 km² area in just ten minutes. The finals will be held in Nenana, Alaska, featuring realistic wildfire scenarios. AURA Foresight's system integrates fixed sensors, artificial intelligence, and autonomous flying robots for a seamless detect-verify-act capability. The technology aims to intervene in fires at their earliest stages, preventing them from escalating into major incidents. The system is designed for practical, affordable, and adaptable deployment. This achievement places AURA Foresight at the forefront of innovation in wildfire management.
