Three convicted murderers, Mark Fellows (45), Lee Newell (57), and David Taylor (64), have been handed new, separate life sentences for the murder of another inmate, Kyle Bevan (33), within a high-security prison in West Yorkshire. The trio used makeshift knives to fatally stab Bevan, leaving him to bleed to death. Bevan was serving a life sentence for the 2020 murder of his partner's two-year-old daughter, Lola James. Fellows and Newell were already serving life sentences without parole when they committed the murder. Security footage revealed the defendants stalking Bevan to his cell and leaving minutes later with expressions of satisfaction. Taylor was also awaiting trial for the murder of his girlfriend and attempted murder of a police officer. The judge emphasized the severity of the crime, ensuring these individuals will not be released.
