Vampire: The Masquerade Officially Integrates with Dungeons & Dragons, Introducing New Vampire Class
You'll soon be able to play a 'VtM'-style vampire in 'D&D.'
White Wolf Publishing is expanding its presence with the official integration of 'Vampire: The Masquerade' into Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e. This collaboration introduces a new 'Kindred' (vampire) class for D&D players, developed by Ghostfire Gaming. Titled 'Vampire: The Masquerade—Bound by Blood,' the supplement features a full vampire class powered by Blood Points, Disciplines, and the 'Beast' mechanic, along with a Dark Ages adventure. This marks the first official, fully realized vampire class in D&D, distinct from existing vampiric afflictions or the Dhampir lineage. The product is available for pre-order this month and will be released on D&D Beyond in July. This move signifies a major crossover event in the tabletop role-playing game world, bringing a beloved gothic-punk universe into the popular fantasy realm of D&D.
This collaboration is significant for the tabletop gaming community, merging two iconic franchises and offering players a new, officially sanctioned way to embody vampires within Dungeons & Dragons.
