A 32-year-old hairdresser, still recovering from childbirth, had her mobile phone stolen by two armed men on a bicycle. The incident occurred in Boa Vista, where the suspects threatened her with a machete. Fearing repercussions, the victim initially hesitated to contact the police. However, the following evening, she used Google's location service to track her phone, finding it active and transmitting its location. Police were dispatched to the indicated address, a residential complex. By remotely activating the phone's alarm, officers pinpointed the apartment from which the signal originated. The resident allowed police entry, and the phone was recovered. The resident identified one of the suspects as her husband, who had left the phone there. The second suspect, identified as the husband's brother-in-law, was also apprehended. Both were taken to the police station.
