Fire Erupts on Greek-Flagged Sailboat in Mykonos Marina; Polish Tourists Unharmed

A fire broke out on a Greek-flagged sailboat docked at the new Mykonos port marina on Friday afternoon. No injuries were reported among the eight Polish passengers aboard. Captains of nearby vessels assisted in the firefighting efforts, boarding the sailboat and using extinguishers to contain the blaze before the Fire Department arrived. The sailboat was subsequently moved to the island's marina. An investigation by the Mykonos Port Authority is underway to determine the cause of the fire. The vessel has been prohibited from sailing until it obtains a seaworthiness certificate.
