Apesar do lançamento oficial nesta sexta-feira (19), a iniciativa já acumula mais de 530 atendimentos durante a fase piloto, iniciada há nove meses. No projet
The University of Brasília (UnB) has launched 'Odontologia na Rua' (Dentistry on the Street), a project providing free weekly dental services to individuals facing social vulnerability. The initiative, which began nine months ago, has already served over 530 patients with procedures like cleanings, restorations, and oral cancer screenings. Professors and students are involved in the project, aiming to universalize access to oral healthcare. Complex cases are referred to UnB's dental clinic or the University Hospital.
This project addresses a critical gap in healthcare access by offering essential dental services to underserved communities, promoting public health and well-being.
