The Edgeberry Zero is a new product designed to simplify the use of Raspberry Pi Zero in Internet of Things (IoT) applications, particularly in field deployments. It combines a Raspberry Pi Zero with a custom PCB that includes a robust power supply and interface connectors, all housed within a protective case. A key feature is the Edgeberry Hub software management interface. While commercially available, the product is Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA) certified, with all design files accessible on GitHub. The Edgeberry Zero utilizes a unique expansion module format, reminiscent of Game Boy cartridges, for added functionality. This integrated approach aims to reduce the need for external support components, making Pi Zero deployments more streamlined and portable.
