Seven Children Die from Measles Complications in 24 Hours, Cases Below 1000
হামের উপসর্গে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় (শুক্রবার সকাল ৮টা থেকে শনিবার সকাল ৮টা) দেশে আরও সাত শিশু মারা গেছে। এ সময়ে সারা দেশে হাম ও হামের উপসর্গে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে ৮৮৭ শিশু। এর মধ্যে হাম শনাক্ত হয়েছে ৮০ শিশুর। হামের উপসর্গে ছয় শিশুই ঢাকায় মারা গেছে। আর এক শিশু মারা গেছে বরিশালে। আজ শনিবার স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের হামবিষয়ক প্রতিবেদনে এসব তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। এ নিয়ে গত ১৫ মার্চ থেকে হামের উপসর্গে দেশে ৫৮৪ শিশুর মৃত্যুর তথ্য জানা গেছে। এ সময়ে হাম শনাক্তের পর মারা গেছে ৯৩ শিশু। মোট মৃত্যু ৬৭৭। স্বাস্
In the past 24 hours, seven children have died from measles complications across Bangladesh, with 887 new cases reported nationwide. Of these, 80 cases were confirmed as measles. Six of the child fatalities occurred in Dhaka, and one in Barisal. Since March 15, a total of 584 children have succumbed to measles-related symptoms, bringing the overall death toll to 677. The health directorate reports that since March 15, 91,789 children have shown measles symptoms, with 10,949 confirmed cases and 102,738 children affected by measles and its complications. A total of 75,902 children were hospitalized, and 71,970 have recovered and been discharged.
The rising number of child deaths and infections highlights a significant public health challenge requiring urgent attention and intervention.
