Police investigate nine-week-old baby's 'serious' head injuries

Police are investigating how a nine-week-old baby on the Sunshine Coast sustained "serious" head injuries earlier this year.

Sunshine Coast police said about 11pm on April 24, the baby boy was presented at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital after sustaining the injuries at Currimundi.

He was admitted to the intensive care unit and survived the incident.

Detectives are still trying to establish how the baby boy sustained the head injuries.

Police have asked that anyone in the Currimundi area at the time who may have any information that can assist with the investigation to contact them.
