iRegene Therapeutics Raises 210M Yuan in Series C1 for AI-Powered Cell Therapy Platform

iRegene Therapeutics, a China-based biotechnology company specializing in AI-powered universal cell therapy platforms, has completed a 210 million yuan ($29 million) Series C1 financing round. The round was co-led by Guanghe Capital and Xingze Capital. The funds will be used to advance the company's core clinical pipeline, upgrade its AI-driven chemical induction platform, build scaled manufacturing capabilities, and support global clinical development and international partnerships. "We view this financing as a significant milestone," said Dr. Wei Jun, co-founder and CEO of iRegene Therapeutics. "We will continue leveraging our AI-powered chemical induction platform to expand our product matrix and drive China-originated cell therapies onto the global stage." iRegene's proprietary AI + chemical induction platform uses small-molecule compounds to precisely regulate key cellular differentiation nodes, enabling efficient, stable, and scalable production of target functional cells. This approach addresses fundamental challenges in traditional cell therapy manufacturing. The company's lead product, NouvNeu001, targets Parkinson's disease, while its pipeline includes NouvNeu004 for multiple system atrophy with Parkinsonian features — currently in simultaneous clinical development in China and the United States. In ophthalmology, the NouvSight series targets irreversible vision impairment. As global aging populations drive rising prevalence of neurodegenerative diseases, iRegene's platform strategy addresses a massive unmet medical need. The World Health Organization projects that age-related neurological conditions will become one of the largest healthcare challenges of the coming decades.
