A traditional ruler, Ifayemi Elebu-Ibon has emphasised the importance of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe (the traditional Yoruba religious and cultural practices), urging monarchs across Yorubaland to remain connected to their roots and uphold the customs passed down through generations. According to him, while kings may practice Christianity or Islam in their personal lives, preserving traditional rites remains an important responsibility tied to the throne and the well-being of their communities.
