The Police Service Commission has dismissed a purported shortlist of candidates for medical examination circulating on social media, describing it as fake and unauthorised. The Commission, in a statement on Monday signed by its Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, Ikechukwu Ani, said no shortlist had been released for the next stage of the ongoing police recruitment exercise. “The attention of the Police Service Commission has been drawn to a fake list currently circulating on social media, purporting to be a shortlist of candidates scheduled for medical examination,” the statement said. The PSC clarified that the evaluation of the written examination is still being concluded and that successful applicants would be formally notified once the process is completed. “The evaluation of the written examination is still at its concluding stage, and invitation for medical examination will be communicated to successful applicants in the coming days,” the Commission stated.
