Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said business activities in major towns across the state have received a significant boost since he assumed office, assuring that more youth entrepreneurs will be encouraged to invest in the state. The governor, who disclosed this at the inauguration of a Backroom Lounge in Osogbo, said the state capital and some surrounding communities are currently experiencing a 24-hour economy, describing the development as evidence of a significant rise in commercial activities driven by government policies. Represented by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Bunmi Jenyo, the governor recalled that the proprietor of the lounge, though an indigene, was raised in Delta State, but was encouraged to proceed with his investment plans when he indicated interest in the state. Speaking further in a statement signed by the Information Officer of the ministry, Ademiotan Adegbulugbe, obtained in Osogbo on Monday, the governor said, “In 2024, this same investor opened a mini stadium which we inaugurated. Today, we are inaugurating another edifice within the same premises. He has opened a new restaurant and a lounge, and you can see that this lounge is the latest in town. “Osun has changed from being a civil service state. This present administration has changed that narrative. You can now see that every sector of Osun is working. We have had a lot of foreign investors. “Osun is now running 24-hour business operations in Osogbo and its environs. We don’t have to go to Lagos to enjoy our weekends. You can enjoy your weekend here. It is because of the deliberate efforts of this administration that we have this turnaround within three years.” He assured that more youths would be encouraged to invest in the state and create jobs, thereby injecting funds into the Osun economy, noting that young entrepreneurs have vast areas to explore, especially in hospitality, sports, and other sectors. When people who come with footballers come around, they want to relax, have a good time, and wait for their loved ones to finish playing football. So, it was borne out of that deep thought,” Oladimeji s
