Uttam Kumar Reddy urging investors to deepen engagements amid Hyderabad’s emergence as a heavyweight in advanced aerospace manufacturing and defence technology. A former Indian Air Force pilot, Mr. Reddy, who is the Irrigation Minister, said Telangana has transitioned from being a regional participant to a globally recognised heavyweight over the past two years under the government’s proactive and industry-friendly policies. The State boasts of a competitive ecosystem that fuses advanced manufacturing with engineering talent and robust research infrastructure, he said. Hyderabad is the trusted partner for globally leading aerospace corporations with Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, GE Aerospace and Honeywell manufacturing mission-critical components here. Highlighting the infrastructure and supporting ecosystem, Mr. Reddy said the State hosts four dedicated aerospace parks, near Hyderabad, and is home to more than 25 large-scale aerospace and defence firms, a network of more than 1,000 specialised MSMEs and precision engineering suppliers. With a network of DRDO laboratories, defence public sector undertakings and top-tier academic partners, Hyderabad is a natural sandbox for innovation, product development as well as Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO). Telangana’s aggressive growth aligns with the government of India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and defence indigenisation, expanding civil aviation and solidifying the position in global supply chain diversification. “As international aerospace companies look to build resilient, smart, and sustainable supply chains, Hyderabad stands ready as an undisputed destination,” the Minister said, reiterating that Telangana will emerge as India
