JSS Medical College, a constituent institution of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), will host KAPCON 2026, the 52nd Annual State Conference of the Karnataka Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (KCIAPM), from July 3 to 5 at its campus in Mysuru.

Announcing the event at a press conference here on Tuesday, Sheela Devi, Organising Secretary, KAPCON-2026 said the three-day conference will bring together more than 800 delegates, including pathologists, microbiologists, postgraduate students and faculty members from across the State and other parts of the country to discuss the latest advances in laboratory medicine and diagnostic pathology.

The conference will feature hands-on technical workshops aimed at enhancing delegates’ practical skills, along with lectures by experts from premier institutions such as PGI Chandigarh, AIIMS New Delhi and Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai.

Scientific sessions will include paper and poster presentations highlighting breakthrough research, rare clinical case studies and innovative diagnostic practices.

The organisers said the conference reflects Mysuru’s growing stature as a centre for medical education and research.

The inaugural function is scheduled to be held at 4.15 p.m. on Friday at Sri Rajendra Auditorium, JSS Medical College in Bannimantap. The conference is being organised by the Department of Pathology, JSS Medical College, in association with the Karnataka Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (KCIAPM).
