The two-day Young Indians Parliament (YiP) 2026, organised by Young Indians (Yi), Mysuru, an initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), concluded recently with enthusiastic participation from over 150 students representing 13 schools across Mysuru.

In a span of two days, the student delegates transformed into young parliamentarians, participating in simulated parliamentary proceedings, debates, policy discussions, and legislative sessions, demonstrating confidence, leadership, critical thinking, and public speaking skills, the organisers said.

Addressing the gathering, Dwarika Prasad, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Director, RV University, Mysuru, who was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function encouraged students to carry forward the learnings from Young Indians Parliament into their everyday lives and not restrict them to the two-day event. Emphasising the importance of purpose, he urged every student to develop a clear vision for their future and consistently work towards achieving it through discipline, learning, and perseverance.

Gopinath, Managing Director, Quorum Group of Hotels, expressed his delight at witnessing the confidence and courage displayed by the students. He appreciated the participants for speaking fearlessly, presenting their ideas with conviction, and actively engaging in healthy democratic discussions, stating that platforms such as Yi Parliament are instrumental in shaping tomorrow’s leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, Priyanka Sridhar, Chair, Young Indians Mysuru, said, “The true purpose of Young Indians Parliament will be fulfilled if even one student from this delegation is inspired to become an IAS officer, an IPS officer, or a Parliamentarian in the future.
