An eight-member group of candidates selected for employment opportunities in Italy through the joint efforts of the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and the Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Limited (OMCAP) visited the A.P. State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) head office near Vijayawada on Tuesday (June 30, 2026).

The candidates interacted with the Managing Director and CEO of APSSDC G. Ganesh Kumar and Chairman and CEO of APNRT Vemuri Ravi Kumar, ahead of their departure to Italy. They expressed their gratitude to APSSDC and OMCAP for providing them with overseas employment opportunities and for extending continuous guidance throughout the recruitment process.

As part of the overseas placement initiative, OMCAP conducted comprehensive Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT) for all selected candidates. The training covered essential aspects such as travel procedures, workplace ethics, legal rights and responsibilities, cultural orientation, financial literacy, safety measures and adaptation to life in Italy, ensuring that the candidates are well prepared for their international careers.

The APNRT extended complimentary insurance coverage to all eight candidates under the Pravasa Bhima scheme. The initiative, facilitated under the leadership of Mr. Vemuri Ravi Kumar, aims to provide social security and financial protection to Andhra Pradesh migrants working overseas.

Congratulating the candidates, Mr. Ganesh Kumar and Mr. Ravi Kumar conveyed their best wishes for a safe journey and a successful professional career in Italy. They encouraged the candidates to work with dedication, uphold the values of professionalism and integrity and serve as proud ambassadors of Andhra Pradesh and India.

The APSSDC, OMCAP and APNRT have been working to ensure end-to-end support to candidates through skill development, overseas placement facilitation, pre-departure orientation and migrant welfare services.
