Andhra Pradesh Minister for Investments and Infrastructure B. C. Janardhan Reddy will leave for New Delhi on July 1 for a two-day round of meetings with Union Ministers to discuss key aviation and maritime infrastructure projects.

The Minister is scheduled to arrive in the national capital on Wednesday evening and hold separate meetings on July 2 and 3 with Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu and Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal.

During his meeting with Mr. Ram Mohan Naidu, Mr. Janardhan Reddy is expected to review the progress of the proposed greenfield airports in Andhra Pradesh, seek clearances for pending proposals, discuss the expansion of air connectivity and explore the development of Flight Training Organisation (FTO) clusters. The talks will also cover the proposed development of water aerodromes, heliports and vertiports as part of the State’s plans to strengthen its aviation infrastructure.

In his meeting with Mr. Sonowal, the Minister will discuss the proposed Duggarajapatnam mega shipbuilding cluster, port connectivity roads, utilisation of the Centre-owned salt lands, inland waterways and other maritime infrastructure projects.

The discussions will also focus on the proposed greenfield ports in the State, Andhra Pradesh’s maritime potential, the progress of ongoing projects and the Centre’s support for port-led development.
