Vulin meets chief Rabbi in Jerusalem

Serbian politician and close Vucic ally Aleksandar Vulin discussed Serb-Jewish relations with Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Israel and Rishon LeZion Daviv Yosef in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

Vulin, leader of the Movement of Socialists and a former cabinet minister and security agency chief, has not been seen in public for some time. He is a close ally of the Serbian president and a strong advocate of closer ties with Russia.

A press release said that they “noted that Serbs and Jews were bonded by a shared history of suffering in WWII, which they said was an indelible and lasting memory as well as a solid foundation for strengthening and advancing further the Serbia-Israel relations based on sincere respect and trust”.
