President of India Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday (July 1, 2026) called upon young graduates to make learning and innovation their lifelong pursuits, saying the ability to adapt to rapid technological changes would define success in an increasingly knowledge-driven world.

Calling upon the graduates to use their education to improve the lives of others, the President said they could choose careers in science, entrepreneurship, public service or social work. “Education should empower individuals to address societal challenges and contribute to inclusive development,” she said.
