Victoria Police has dropped charges against two males who were arrested and charged with the abduction of a teenage girl outside a Melbourne school.
Ayom Deng, 18, was arrested in Melbourne's west at about 10am on Wednesday over the alleged abduction near a school in Melbourne's south-east.
Police alleged the 17-year-old girl was entering the school when she was approached by a male and forced into a vehicle at about 8:30am last Friday.
Deng faced the Melboure Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, where charge sheets revealed five offences including abducting the girl "with intent on marrying ... without her consent".
His co-accused, a 15-year-old boy, was also charged with abduction.
Victoria Police said they had contacted all parties to inform them charges had been withdrawn.
