Murder investigation launched 35 years after man's death
Bentley Mathias' death is now being investigated after new potential evidence has come to light.
A 67-year-old man from the Llanddewi Velfrey area of Pembrokeshire has been arrested on suspicion of murder
Police have launched an investigation 35 years after the death of a 58-year-old man, with a pensioner arrested on suspicion of murder.
Bentley Mathias, who would now have been 92, died on 19 November 1991 in Morriston Hospital. At the time, his cause of death was recorded as a brain haemorrhage and was not treated as suspicious.
However, Mathias' death is now being investigated after new potential evidence has come to light.
On Wednesday, officers arrested a 67-year-old man from the Llanddewi Velfrey area of Pembrokeshire on suspicion of murder.
The force said it was not looking for anyone else in relation to the matter.
He has been bailed while police continue with their inquiries.
