Atiku possesses knowledge to reposition the country – Senator

The Senator representing the Abia Central Senatorial District, Senator Austin Akobundu, has said the South East stands to gain significantly if former Vice President Atiku Abubakar emerges victorious in the next presidential election.

The senator also expressed excitement over the overwhelming support shown by the people, describing it as a demonstration of love, trust, and confidence in the political direction being championed by Atiku and his supporters.

He stated that Atiku remains one of the most experienced politicians in Nigeria, with deep knowledge of governance, national unity, and economic management, all qualities urgently needed to reposition the country.

According to him, the former Vice President understands the challenges facing Nigeria and possesses the political wisdom and national outlook required to restore stability and development across the federation.

Akobundu also noted that the South East would enjoy greater inclusion and opportunities under an Atiku-led administration, stressing that the region needs a leader who appreciates equity, fairness, and national integration.

He recalled Atiku’s role during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, where he helped coordinate a strong economic team that drove reforms and economic growth in the country.

The senator further emphasized that the massive turnout recorded by Atiku in the recently concluded ADC presidential primary was a clear indication that party members and supporters remain optimistic about Atiku’s chances.
