NRL round 14 LIVE updates: Sea Eagles kick off Kieran Foran era against South Sydney
Manly are out to mark Foran’s appointment as head coach with victory at Brookvale against a Rabbitohs side which welcomes back Brandon Smith and Campbell Graham.
Kieran Foran is being hailed a saviour at Manly after guiding the Sea Eagles to an eighth win from 10 games. Now some of his players even appear to possess the hand of God.
How else do you explain the decision to award Clayton Faulolo a try after what appeared a blatant knock-on by Ben Trbojevic.
Replays showed Trbojevic put the ball on the ground before it gripped to his hand, then dropped back into the turf.
Referee Adam Gee later told Souths players the ball only came off the ground because of the “sticky spray” the players regularly use on their hands.
“He never loses control of it, he plants it down and it comes up,” Gee said.
Souths trailed 12-8 at the time, and a minute earlier thought they had gone ahead courtesy of an acrobatic finish by Ed Kosi in the right corner.

The Sea Eagles will enjoy the bye and welcome the return of fan favourite Tom Trbojevic (hamstring) after the break. His return has come at the perfect time given Faulolo hobbled off with a hamstring injury after he scored.
Tolu Koula and Haumole Olakau’atu both finished the game free of injury, and ready to return to NSW camp in the hope of delivering Origin success for the Blues.
Winger Jason Saab bagged a double, including a try when Manly were reduced to 12 men following the decision to bin Faulolo for holding down Souths playmaker Ashton Ward.
The Rabbitohs were a sneaky hope after welcoming back Brandon Smith, Campbell Graham and David Fifita from injury.
They lost their way after Kosi was denied his try, then Faulolo capitalised after the Trbojevic play-the-ball. Trbojevic bagged a try of his own a few minutes later.
Souths looked good early, absorbed plenty of pressure, and had the first points when Cam Murray and Keaon Koloamatangi combined for a try. Murray held the ball up beautifully for his teammate to stroll through a gap left by Trbojevic and Luke Brooks.
The visitors then stretched the
