The All Progressives Congress has disowned a purported list of its senatorial candidates currently circulating on social media and some online platforms, describing it as fake. The party said the list titled “Concluded List of APC Senatorial Candidates So Far” did not emanate from it and should be disregarded in its entirety. This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka. “The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a purported ‘Concluded List of APC Senatorial Candidates So Far’ currently circulating on social media and some online platforms. “The APC wishes to state that the said list is FAKE and did not emanate from the Party,” the statement read. The party urged its members, stakeholders, the media, and the general public to disregard the publication. APC warned against the circulation of unverified information, noting that such publications could mislead the public, cause confusion, and undermine the integrity of its internal democratic processes. This disclaimer comes weeks after the APC conducted senatorial primaries across various districts in May 2026 ahead of the 2027 general elections. The primaries saw several high-profile outcomes, including affirmations for some incumbent senators and some governors clinching senatorial tickets. 47 aspirants, including Ben Murray-Bruce, a former senator who represented Bayelsa East, alongside Benson Agadaga, were disqualified.
