Air Vice Marshal GKJ Reddy, on Friday, June 5 assumed charge as Commandant of the College of Defence Management (CDM) in Secunderabad, succeeding Major General G. Srinivas, who is set to take over as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA).
Commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force in 1990, Air Vice Marshal Reddy is a Category-A Qualified Flying Instructor with more than 4,500 hours of flying experience. He is an alumnus of the National Defence College (NDA) and the Defence Services Staff College and has held several important command and staff appointments during his distinguished military career.
Before taking charge of the premier tri-services institution, he served as Associate Director (PMT) at the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
