Genome Foundation (GF) and the BRIC-Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) have reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing science for societal benefit by formally renewing their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday.

The renewed partnership strengthens the institutions’ long-standing collaboration in genomics, biotechnology, translational research, capacity building, scientific training, and public engagement. By combining their expertise and resources, the organisations aim to foster innovative research, promote knowledge exchange, and support the next generation of scientists. The collaboration will also accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into improved healthcare outcomes.

The MoU renewal was formalised in the presence of Genome Foundation’s managing director Gandhi P. C. Kaza, BRIC-CDFD director Ullas Kolthur-Seetharam, staff scientist Ashwin Dalal, Dr Pavani Sowjanya of GF, and other representatives.

Both institutions will continue to work closely, united by a shared vision to leverage genomics and innovation for public good. Together, they aim to address pressing health challenges, improve quality of life, and ensure accessible and equitable healthcare for all, according to a press release issued on Friday.
