A GMU Research Centre, Centre of Excellence in Agricultural and Food Biotechnology, Intel Unnati Data-Centric Lab, and Tally Education Centre, established at GM University in Davangere, with an aim to boost research, innovation, skill development and industry collaboration, were inaugurated on Friday (June 5).

P.U. Krishnaraj, interim Vice-Chancellor of University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad, formally inaugurated GMU Research Centre.

K. Rajanna, honorary professor at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru; Girish H., national business manager of Intel Corporation; Gurpreet Singh, director of EdGate Technologies Pvt. Ltd.; Jiji Kumar N., assistant general manager of Tally Education; and Premraj S., assistant regional manager, jointly launched the operations of the other centres and facilities.

GM University Chancellor G.M. Lingaraju presided over the event. Vice-Chancellor S.R. Shankapal, Pro Vice-Chancellor M. Venugopala Rao, registrar Sunil Kumar B.S., chief financial officer Ashok Kumar, and others were present.

GM University also signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with global technology giant Intel Corporation and financial software leader Tally Education and Distribution Services Private Limited.
