Bas itu ditahan di susur masuk Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan berhampiran Kepala Batas, di sini ketika membawa kira-kira 40 pelancong dari Thailand yang dalam perjalanan menuju ke Johor. Pengarah JPJ Kedah,
Kedah's Road Transport Department (JPJ) has seized a school bus for permit violations. The bus was apprehended near Kepala Batas while transporting approximately 40 Thai tourists to Johor. Investigations revealed that the bus operator could not produce a Temporary Change Permit (LPS) authorizing the school bus's use for carrying foreign tourists, thus breaching permit conditions. The passengers were safely transferred to alternative transportation at the Shahab Perdana Bus Terminal in Alor Setar.
This action highlights the enforcement of regulations to prevent the misuse of commercial vehicle permits and ensure road safety compliance.
