A woman from Drachten found herself in a precarious situation when she became stuck in a tree while trying to rescue her daughter's escaped parrot. After hearing the parrot, Mimi, high in a tree, the woman initially called for assistance from animal ambulance and fire services, but they were unable to help. Determined to retrieve her pet, she climbed the tree herself, only to become trapped at a significant height.
Her friends subsequently contacted the fire department again, who this time responded and successfully extricated the woman. With the woman safely on the ground, the firefighters, accompanied by her, then managed to retrieve the parrot from its perch.
