KUALA LUMPUR: Persatuan Badminton Malaysia (BAM) mengambil pendirian lebih tegas terhadap isu disiplin dalam kem kebangsaan apabila memberi amaran bahawa mana-mana pemain yang melanggar peraturan tidak akan dibenarkan mewakili negara. Presiden BAM, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz berkata, isu disiplin menjadi antara agenda utama dibincangkan dalam Mesyuarat Ahli Majlis BAM kerana badan induk itu mahu memastikan budaya profesionalisme dan akauntabiliti terus diperku
The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has announced a stricter stance on disciplinary issues within the national team, warning that players who violate regulations will be barred from representing the country. BAM President Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz emphasized that discipline is a key agenda item to foster professionalism and accountability. Several disciplinary matters involving national players have been identified and will be referred for further action.
BAM also reinforced the rule requiring national players, except for married individuals, to reside at the Malaysian Badminton Academy dormitory, with non-compliance leading to exclusion from play or national representation. This directive, previously in place, will now be enforced more rigorously.
This policy aims to instill discipline and accountability among national athletes, setting a positive example for aspiring players and the public.
