Kerala CM inaugurates ‘Vikasana Sadassu’ initiative of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation
Over next month, in the run up to local body elections, a series of events will be held across the State to popularise the achievements of local bodies
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has urged all political parties to set aside differences and collaborate on development projects for the state. He made these remarks while launching the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation's 'Vikasana Sadassu' initiative, a month-long program aimed at showcasing local government achievements and planning future development. The program intends to gather public input for creating developmental plans.
Vijayan criticized some local bodies for refusing to participate in the initiative, urging them to adopt a broader perspective. He also contrasted the state government's inclusive approach with the Union government's alleged withholding of support and funds.
The initiative highlights the importance of political consensus and public participation in driving local development and planning for future growth.
