ZANZIBAR: ZANZIBAR President Dr Hussein Mwinyi has invited investors and business leaders from Arab countries to explore investment opportunities in the Isles, citing a conducive business environment and vast prospects across key sectors. Dr Mwinyi extended the invitation yesterday at the State House in Zanzibar during a meeting with ambassadors accredited to Tanzania, who paid him a courtesy visit and congratulated him on the development progress being recorded in Zanzibar.
Zanzibar President Dr. Hussein Mwinyi has actively encouraged investors and business leaders from Arab nations to explore the archipelago's promising investment landscape. During a meeting with accredited ambassadors, he highlighted the favorable business environment and significant opportunities within key sectors like tourism and the blue economy. The President emphasized the strong historical ties between Zanzibar and Arab countries, acknowledging their crucial support for development in areas such as education, health, and infrastructure. He urged the ambassadors to actively promote Zanzibar's potential to their respective business communities, assuring them of supportive government policies and attractive incentives.
This initiative aims to attract foreign investment to bolster Zanzibar's economic growth and diversify its revenue streams beyond traditional sectors.
